MEET THE FOUNDER

April Zajko, M.Ed., is a seasoned early childhood educator (ECE) who draws on her nearly 25 years of classroom experience to lead meaningful and engaging professional learning opportunities for fellow ECEs.

Since 2010, she has led professional development programs for thousands of early childhood educators, initially just in Vermont, and now throughout the country and beyond.

 

As a keynote presenter, April shares her passion for how nature, art, and wellness can bring joy both into the classroom and into the lives of educators. She teaches both graduate and undergraduate nature based college courses for Vermont State University’s Center for Schools and undergraduate courses for the Community College of Vermont.

April also offers virtual professional development classes that build a strong foundation in research based practices for early childhood educators. Additionally, she is the founder and moderator of the Facebook group, Nature Inspired Teacher, which is an engaged community of over 17,000 educators.

 

April's vision is to create a supportive community where educators can access innovative resources and share their passion for teaching through nature. Through Nature Inspired Teacher, she strives to inspire educators to bring the wonders of nature into their classrooms, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the environment in their students.
